Tomato Gnocchi Bake Recipe (2 servings): 250g of Gnocchi
2 rashes of Unsmoked Bacon (although if you want a vegetarian meal then just leave this out and it still tastes just as good)
1 Can of Chopped Tomatoes
Half a chopped onion (you can leave the other half for this meal again as you will want to make it again!)
Half a Red Pepper cut into strips
6 florets of Broccoli (about 60g)
One Clove of Garlic which has either been chopped or put through a garlic crusher
Salt and Pepper
Basil
125g of Mozzerella Cheese
Olive Oil

Method:
First its easiest to prepare all vegetables, so you have to chop the onions, chop the peppers into strips, cut a few branches of broccoli.
Heat the Oil in a Frying Pan, Preheat the oven to 180 C, Bring some water to the Boil
Cut the bacon up into strips and cook for a little bit (and remember if you want it to be vegetarian then just dont add it). And put the Broccoli into the boiling water.
Then add the onion and pepper and soften.
Add the Garlic and cook for around a minute and make sure it doesnt burn to the Frying Pan.
Add the Chopped Tomatoes, Salt, Pepper, Basil and Gnocchi,
Simmer for 10 Minutes
Drain the Broccolli and add into the mixture.
Simmer for a little while longer.
Then Spoon some into a ovenproof dish, Cut some of the mozzarella and place on top, then spoon the remainder of the bake on top and cut the remainder of the mozzarella, then put into the oven for around 5 minutes until the cheese is starting to brown off.

  • Some tips that would make me more inclined to watch your videos (no offense intended, and note that this is only my personal opinion):

    1. Less trying to convince the viewer that they should make this recipe. The vast majority of people looking up videos like this will already be interested in food.

    2. Less unrelated footage (Rubik's Cube?), I want to see cooking when I look at food videos. It's nice that you talk a bit, but not to this extent (70% of the video isn't cooking).

    3. Less talking!

  • i love gnocchi and this looks pretty amazing! and i popped the button on my shorts as well lol. hears to more food

  • Hi FoodFlog,

I'm with Shearo here... Get the camera in the kitchen and work your magic from there. You could leave your video as is and bring on many people, I would not be one of them but everyone has to do there own thing so whatever works for you. Just attempting your ideas and going on video I give you high marks for and a person willing to take on others ideas. I'll be here to see any new design idea you have.

  • Yum! I think smoked halibut can be a good replacement for bacon.

  • loving the videos so far - really like cooking channels, so i'm glad you messaged me! any cooking ideas for someone who can barely cook and doesn't like fruits or vegetables much? my husband burns even the simplest things, and he's not much into fresh produce. he loves meat and cheese. but i'm the one who's working while he sits home all day waiting for his green card to work out, and i'd love to come home one day to a nice dinner instead of a smoky kitchen :)
