So my pastor's staff made this rad video to help "inspire" people by poking a little fun at modern drug commercials...and at those people who can't manage to let go of 10% of their income. Rock on, Carson Valley Christian Church! haha

Since tithing was merely FOOD for the Levite priests to eat, (those who cared for the temple) I wonder how folks come to the conclusion that it could be ANYthing to do with finances, or relevant today? NEVER was it money! And nowhere in scripture does it tell us to give 10% of our income to a church or anyone else! Wake up, you’re being deceived!

I can't believe that anyone could equate non tithing to a mental disorder in need of medication.

What is gathered is to be evenly distributed to all the church as to their need. Whatever happened to this in the church? No, they would rather construct a bigger and better building to keep their non profit status than to give to those members who have need. The hireling preachers better check their doctrines of robbing the flock by theft of offerings. God Bless you!

tithing and giving are two different things not to be confused with each other. giving 2 corinthian 9:7 tithing? a dead law in malachi3

the tithing law was for Israel not for us today, we are not under the law. Tradition has caused many denominations to put Christians under bondage to an obsolete law given for the Jews. Also if you read the old law it was for food for the priests not money. I truly believe in giving to further the gospel and to support the ministry but I do not buy my blessings from God thru tithing . I am blessed because I give out of heart that loves God. Please read your bible and understand what it says.

If you give money to a church you are a sucker. If you believe in a god, ask yourself this: How much money does god already have? Would you giving your church money change the answer to the question? Your church is likely pissing the money away anyways and they havnt even proven that there is a god anyways. Now lets go with there is no god, would that make giving money to a church even more of a joke? Keep your money, or donate it to actual good causes like feeding homeless.

If you find tithing offensive to your faith, are there any other biblical principles you find offensive to your faith? Jesus said we should continue doing it but not neglect other matters as well(Mat 23:23). I personally like to have electricity in the building so we can better reach out to the people of the community.Tithes fund ministry and are biblical...I want to see the Great Commission carried out and I am willing to live it and invest in it by giving God what is His already.
