Cheers to all involved in these calmer town hall meetings. Their ability to remain calm while participating in open debate on these emotionally charged issues should serve as a model for all America. The major news agencies should take a cue from this and stop interviewing the over reactionary crowd and the clueless along with the crooks and cronnies who have a hidden agenda of their own.

The mainstream media really is the enemy of civil society and democracy, but not for the reason that rightwingers think it is.

There's not so much a "leftwing bias" in the media as there is a childish addiction to drama.

It's good to see that local news stations -- even FOX affiliates -- are showing how most town halls are conducted: civil, extended debates and discussions about this majorly important issue.

The amazing element in each of these videos is the failure to report the actual truth. There's been a lot of controversy over the town hall in SC being out of control. Each news company has made it seem as if the people of SC just freaked out and started attacking each other. That is the furthest thing from the truth. Political leaders can incite rioting faster than anyone and that is what happened that night. Politician/Bob I. insulted those people straight to their faces in a major way. Truth!
