I tried this wheel. It felt odd to treadle, but it was kind of interesting.

It means that it's less work to spin, prolly. Once you get it going, it'd take little work to keep it going, I'd imagine.

it doesn't but you can use the treadle as either a double or a single and apparently it works just as well (I havn't actually used one, just going on what I have heard)...

This is amazing! Does it come with a single foot model? I will be getting an electric wheel as I can't spin with my hip anymore. But i am curious.
