This is a short video about my .22 cal SMK XS17, bought during our stay in the UK summer 2011.
Phill thanks for collecting it for me.
Matt thanks for helping me sighting it in during the Oddball @ the Boundary Farm, Framsden, Suffolk, UK, A weekend of camping & shooting FT with the chaps from the UK Chinese Airgun Forum http://ukchineseairgunforum.myfreeforum.org , mrs Brutuz and I enjoyed the event and the company very much and felt welcome & at home from start to end..
Only has a few minor marks on it, nothing bad.
Used this .22 rifle during the recoiling open sights class, performed very well, 4th place.
Read Will's tuning guide and tweaked it.

De-burred, cleaned, re-lubed, 2 delrin washers in the piston, polished both spring ends after taking the sharp edges off first, washer & delrin powerband onto the spring guide, filed a bit off of the bottom of the safety catch unit, removed the guided trigger spring.
Delrin parts bought from http://www.woodfield-gcp.co.uk
No extensive preload at the moment, easy to close by hand, but... to insert the rear pin a spring compressor is very handy to make it possible to insert the pin by hand, without using force and alligning the internals propperly.
Trigger improved, performance up a bit too, very nice rifle.
Pitty SMK doesn't sell these XS17's anymore...
This is a Chinese copy of the Diana 27 which is an excellent direct sear design and the Chinese version is of good quality and has an automatic safety catch.
Sorry TSEE, this was a private event, not a permanent shooting range
