Bij de herinrichting van Kasteel Amerongen is gekozen voor een innovatieve benadering om de geschiedenis van dit historisch erfgoed te vertellen. De kunstenaar en theatermaker Saskia Boddeke en de cineast en schilder Peter Greenaway hebben een prachtig concept bedacht waarbij u niet alleen kennis maakt met het kasteel maar vooral met zijn bewoners en hun verhalen uit de 17de eeuw. Met 21 videoprojectoren, 30 geluidsboxen, 1000 spots, 62 personages,1 zwart paard ,3 honden en 1 vogel, wordt u vergezeld op uw theatrale beleving van het kasteel gezien door de ogen van Margaretha Turnor.

How it used to be.
But not how you imagined it to be !

For the renovation of the Castle Amerongen we have chosen for an innovative approach to tell the history of this historical heritage. The artist and multimedia director Saskia Boddeke and the cineast and painter Peter Greenaway have developed a beautiful concept .You will not only learn more about the castle, but also about its inhabitants and their stories from the 17th century.
This all is seen through the eyes of Margaretha Turnor. Stories full of hope and new beginnings after a destructive war will guide the visitor, accompanied by 21 Video projectors, 30 speakers, 1000 light spots, 62 characters,1 black horse, 3 dogs and 1 bird, on his theatrical adventure through the castle.
