Bottom line, the voters that liked Gokey werent going to vote for Adam. They voted for Kris and thats what sent him over. Kinda sad that someone won from the bitterness of another contestants fans from him getting voted out before the finale. Sad but true :)

ok, Kris wasn't unique enough to be fair winner but actually, if Adam had won, hye'd have to adjust to Idol's conditions and he wouldn't be as free and creative as he is now :) they'd limit him! :( he also proves that even runner-up can be world-wide star and completely outshine winner!
