I'd rather be in Gladstone... The Gladstone Region is home to a thriving 21st Century industrial base served by one of Australia's busiest ports, the Port of Gladstone. A major industrial cluster, where economic competitiveness is balanced with steadily improving environmental performance. And with recent and continuing investment in the LNG industry, which is expected to play an increasingly important role in global energy markets over coming years, the Gladstone Region's strong industrial growth looks set to continue.

  • IF you can handle the evil stares from the locals; IF you want to give away all our resources to other countries while 3 people (Rheinhart, Palmer and Forrest) make all the money; IF you want to export a huge number of jobs to overseas workers; IF you can handle seeing manatees and turtles dying in the harbour....then GO FOR IT!!!!!

  • LOTS OF JOBS!!!! IF you have $6000 for your training, IF you don't mind $3500 a week rent; IF you don't mind eating diseased fish; IF you don't mind the long term health effects of breathing coal dust; IF you don't mind being part of an industry which is going to KILL a World Heritage Area; IF you can handle telling your kids they can't drink rain water because your industry poisoned it; IF you can handle watching your family sicken and die from the effects of mining;
