A brief, but by no means definitive, overview of Isabella Hoffmann's new technique for creating astonishing works of art and multi-layered, life-like images, using a felting machine. No threading needles, no fumbling with pinned-down pattern pieces, just layer your wool pieces, and in minutes you can create incredible art with tremendous textures and beautifully blended color.

  • thank you for the tip.

  • Hi,

I am using a Babylock felting machine. How ever I have tried all of them out that are currently on the market and they all have good qualities. Some I find the needles more spaced apart, but they still do a good job. The Baby lock is however a powerhouse and it takes me half the time.

  • A professional tip to help teach proper ergonomics when sewing, is to be sure you have an extension table or the machine in a flat bed table. This not only provides better ergonomics, but prevents the fabric from hanging over the edge.
