Clearly this was an organized restoration project--the girl said so herself in the video. I don't think the protestors really know why they're there and they video seems to support that. Perhaps they had nothing better to do and just felt like complaining about something. It's not like they're wiping out the forest--trees are clearly marked for removal and it can actually be healthy for the forest, allowing new growth to establish itself and replenish the soil.
