I live in a country where cheese costs a small fortune and so was pleased to see this. We have very cheap tofu/cashews/herbs, but after googling Earthbalance see its' a vegan margarine? Will soy oil be a decent substitute? Plenty of that here too.

That looks awesome! I don't miss cheese per se, but I'd be a liar if I said that my mouth didn't water when I thought of Boursin. I used to LOVE that stuff, so thank you Bryanna and Everyday Dish for bringing it back to me!

Can I make this in a vita-mix, or does it absolutely need to be powdered first?

Cheese is the only thing I miss from my vegetarian days. It is nice to see such a creative recipe. I will have to give this a try sometime. Love Mori-Nu tofu, by the way.
