SXSW 2009 Film Trailer: Pontypool

the language idea came from a short story written in the 80's.....its more of a mind film then a visual gore fest...if its gore you want then wrong film....its good as its scary without being all blood and guts.

Less about Zombies,more about how the public is affected by the media. of how the media report news and influence us, by repeating and repeating until the public repeat it, how the media build moral panics, and how the power of language and ideas can spread like a virus. That mass media spreads its message like a virus, focuses on the bloody and violent, controls and manipulates us creating mass hysteria, brainwashing us until we repeat what they say without having original thought

They should make zombie movies with more originality. *zombie movie comes out with new, original setup* UGH THEY PULLED THIS OUT OF THEIR BUTT HOW STUPID HOW DUMB I AM LITERALLY A CHILD BOOHOO

I gotta agree with you on the languae virus thing, they tried to be original i guess. A shame really cause other than that the movie was pretty good.

I just saw it on The Movie Network. I recommend it!

It was very intriguing until the last predictable 10 mins of the film.

ah this movie was on demand for 1.99 it sucked

I going to assume that rigomrtsfx was disappointed with the lack of zombies being presented in the film. Most of the flick was a build up to 5% of zombie footage. Not only that, the zombies were supposedly infected with a language virus, an idea that sprung out of someone's @ss at the last minute and didn't make all that much sense when it did. Check the movie out for yourself anyway; I know people who enjoyed it a lot. It was okay but not above average.
