Fly fishing for Rainbows at Arran View Fishery, Moscow, Scotland.
It's a Great wee fishery that always produces great numbers of fishermen and fish.
Arran View was the Place where i got my first TroutMaster Badge for catching a 5lb 10oz Blue.
With the knowledge of a 18lb Rainbow living in the fishery it makes it an even better place to fish...
Tight lines,
David

  • Im always going to fish there david but never get the time :( I pass it allot during work and always have a wee look in when going bye and there are always people in at it! Is it any good?

  • Hi memmnock,

Arran view used to be a great fishery however after hearing rumours that Jake has started to over stock the fishery I have not been up as often as I used to. Some say he split 1500 fish between both ponds and considering the size of the ponds, it just seems a wee bit too much.

I've heard people say that the fish are literally jumping put each others way. It really was a great fishery, buzzers are super

I, like yourself, cannot resist a peak in when driving past.

    Best regards,

    ~David

  • wat kind of fly rod do you use

  • Hi,

I got the Rod for my birthday last year when I started fly fishing.

It only cost £30 and is like waving a lampost around compaired to some feather weight rods.

Im not sure of the exact name as it does not say on it.

    Best Regards,

    ~David

  • Nice fish David, and great to see it well handled too!

    Steve

  • Hi Steve,

    Glad you enjoyed the video.

Normally I dont handle the fish or indeed use a net, only when im recording a video or need a picture of the biggie do I handle it and I am sure to return the fish safely!

    Best Regards,

    ~David
