1 Kombucha Brewing with Benny

Kombucha, best brewed at 80-86 degrees Fahrenheit, is an elixir that's beneficial for everyone. Though it's a brewed tea, it contains only as much alcohol as a grapefruit that has been sitting in the sun all day. It's a digestive aid. If you never had kombucha before, start by drinking a few ounces a day. I had to really go to the bathroom after 20 minutes after my first few ounces. I was brewing in gallon jars back then. Because this improves digestion, it dominoes to improving other things such as seratonin and melatonin.

You can brew in gallon jars for starters. Rubber-band a muslin cloth across the top to let it breathe as it brews. Also, the smell isn't as strong if you do only gallon jars. This stuff is really good medicine for people who suffer from Pharmaceutical damage. Unlike Pharmaceuticals, kombucha works with the body to restore digestive bacteria with, I find, the best species of probiotics ever. Since kombucha is a living drink, that explains why the stuff from the store does nothing for me.

I've found that the bottles from the store do nothing for me, but when I make my own brew, which is stronger because it wasn't processed, it does things like ease my digestion and when I had really bad insomnia, eased that a little bit too. I remember when I made my first brew (in gallon jar), I only drank 3 fl. oz. of it and 30 mins. later, got rid of some bad toxins if you know what I mean. Making your own brew does stink up the room like vinegar, so place it in a spot away from the main area.

Benny, your video is great, loved it! Lots of information and the relaxing music was nice. I am impressed w your scope of knowledge. I'm not sure if I should order a SCOBY , or just start w a commercial bottle from a store. What is your opinion on this, if you don't mind?
