This is a little sound demo of a pod xt running through a marshall 20 20 valve power amp.

The high gain sound is a 515o emulation and the clean sound is a JCM 900 clean channel sound. I add a little whammy at the end.

  • hi u can make the pith bend whammy with the pedal of fbv expersess in pod xt ?

  • @houariguns Yeah man! Thats what I did in this video. You need to go into the settings and assign the 'wah/vol' pedal to the 'bender' effect and then your good to go!

    Take care.

  • Sounds great on video, but does it have the feel of a real amp with that hook up? which by the way, seems to be the best way of getting the pure pod sound. I sometimes hook them up to reference monitors and I hear great sound, but cant feel the ball tingling sensation of a real amp. Just wondering how it sounds in person with your set up? Please don't take me wrong, not asking about your balls, just your sound.

  • @benthemiester Hey man, to be honest I havent played through a 'real' amp for some time. In my opinion modellers offer a compromise to get close to studio tones in any situation, so I can't really help you on any of the ball movment questions. However, I must stress that this isn't a feature that I often seek when playing the guitar, I'm more interested in getting a sound that works for me so I can play the ideas that I have in my head.

  • @lauraeeee I hear u, what I'm really speaking of is frequency response, there are certain freqs around 80 hertz that make your chest vibrate we have all heard it at concerts. The point I'm trying to make is, I like to feel my music as well as hear it. I use mine for recording and live so I am a fan of line 6, but theres still nothing like a real amp. Great sense of humor man. They say that a sustained exposure to an inaudible 10 hertz freq, can make u loose control of bowel movements. WHY? WHY?

  • @benthemiester Well I will try and make a video that tests out these ideas and theories! I can't promise that I will be loosing control of any bodily functions, as the videos would perhaps not be suitable for youtube, but I will try and see if I can get some 'air' into the recordings. If you check out my video where I'm using the rig outside of my house then there may be some clues in that video....It hit me prity hard at the time of recording....

  • 0:45 what effect was that?¿?¿?¿

  • Doesn't sound like a 'demo' when its recorded with a cam mic, my tiny practice amp sounds the same on a video cam. Plug direct-in so we can hear your setup!

  • @benthemiester dude which amp would u suggest to me that can easily make people empty their bowels involuntarily!?
