The Quran on the Origin of the Universe:
The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of smoke (i.e. an opaque highly dense and hot gaseous composition). This is one of the undisputed principles of standard modern cosmology. Scientists now can observe new stars forming out of the remnants of that smoke

The illuminating stars we see at night were, just as was the whole universe, in that smoke material. God has said in the Quran:
Then He turned to the heaven when it was smoke... (Quran, 41:11)

Because the earth and the heavens above (the sun, the moon, stars, planets, galaxies, etc.) have been formed from this same smoke, we conclude that the earth and the heavens were one connected entity. Then out of this homogeneous smoke, they formed and separated from each other.

God has said in the Quran:
Have not those who disbelieved known that the heavens and the earth were one connected entity, then We separated them?... (Quran, 21:30)


Let us look at what Allah (GOD) Almighty said about the "Cosmic Crunch" Theory:
يوم نطوي السماء كطي السجل للكتب كما بدأنا أول خلق نعيده وعدا علينا إنا كنا فعلين
"The Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed),- even as We produced the first creation, so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it. (The Noble Quran, 21:104)"

Notice here how Allah Almighty Said that He will ROLL BACK the heavens like a scroll rolled up.

NASA's discovery made only 8 years ago!

"The simplest version of the inflationary theory, an extension of the Big Bang theory, predicts that the density of the universe is very close to the critical density, and that the geometry of the universe is flat, like a sheet of paper. That is the result confirmed by the WMAP science."

They have discovered only 8 years ago; that the Universe is flat! The best way the NASA scientists could describe the Universe is "like a sheet of paper," which Allah Almighty has already described 1,400 years ago to a goat herder and illiterate bedioun, our beloved and blessed Prophet Muhammad, Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon him. Ameen.

I am an astronomy major. And I'm Glad that God revealed to his believers this strong statement. If no one believes this then he/she is blind. Cupernicus was hunderds of years after Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and he just discovered that earth might be rotating when the christian church prosecuted who ever believed that the universe was not fixed. This is a strong proof that the Quran is the true word of God.

Im afraid the Theory is not being accepted as fact in 2012. The Quran is the word of 1 man who lived in 600ad.

EVERYONE wrote about the Crucifixion of Jesus. The Jews who hated Jesus, the Romans & the Christians did. The Crucifixion of Jesus did happen my friend. The only man to say it never happened was a man who lived SIX HUNDRED YEARS later! Because an 'angel' told him. You take away the Crucifixion you take a Mans Salvation. It only serves Gods enemy to take away the Crucifixion story.

The Big Bang theory is 100% right given that scientists proved that the radiation belt due to the big bang was discovered using radio waves in 1960's. Not only that, also the Quran says that the universe is expanding which is also proven by scientists. The big bang theory has to be right especially that scientists tried to disprove it for decades with huge failures.
