Ya'akov Hollander was a ten-year-old boy living in Krakow, Poland, when WWII broke out. Deported from his home and eventually crammed into the Krakow ghetto, Ya'akov passed through twelve different concentration camps during the Holocaust. A walking skeleton when he was finally liberated, Yaakov had lost both his parents and most of his family in the Holocaust. With his world completely destroyed, Yaakov turned to music in an attempt to cope with his loss. Joining a children's choir in a camp for child survivors, Yaakov forged a lifelong bond with music, becoming a composer, musical arranger and choir conductor. Despite all of the horror he faced as a child, through the help of music, Yaakov has managed to remain an optimistic person.

  • It amazes me that there is even one "thumbs down" on any of these Survivor's Videos. Hatred is alive and well...

  • such a tragedy. i channeled hannah..in memory. love to all the victims of this sad sad time.

  • @TheycallmeSoviet Well if Hitler had as you say "the right idea" then surely his systematic murder of the Jews and others was the right way to go about it? I mean he somewhat achieved his objectives, no?

I hate that argument that Hitler had the right idea his vile dogma caused all that misery yet people have the gall to declare he had the right idea, you may as well say he had good intentions but went about them in a truly wicked way. It's beyond retarded.

  • This is nothing compared to what I read. In a small town somewhere in the East of Europe live some 700-800 Jews mostly women and children. The SS Brigade (The Germans) march into town with gas vans and start forcing the Jews inside the van. Inside the van carbon monoxide was release the van was then driving to a nearby forest, then the van was opened to some amazed germans there was still some that survive.

  • I am so sorry to hear about things the Nazis did to the Jews and others who suffered int their hands. May God bless all vitictims of Genocides.

  • @Deaxon1

Hitler's parents were NOT Jews. But they were the creators of one of the THE most despicable specimens of human waste ever. That is their claim to fame, not that they were Jewish!

  • @TheycallmeSoviet Hitler was elected by German citizens. No matter how good of a speaker Hitler was, it still shows extremely low character to even begin to agree with Hitler. He did not want the best of the world, he was the most evil thing on earth and a sorry excuse for a man. The people who where forced to fight for him are fucking animals who have no self respect. If you would live just so you could kill men, women and child then they are no longer and human being. Why you not unsupport him

  • EVERYBODY HATES even jews.

and often only for the sake of enjoying hurting others. everybody is like this since they were a toddler. hate and violence is human nature.

  • @ClubpenguinVsulyl It's not the German's fault. They fell for the tyrannic words of Adolf Hitler. He was an amazing speaker. He wanted the best for the world, yet made a huge mistake. I neither support nor unsupport Hitler. He had the right idea, but the wrong way of enforcing it. I am in no way saying that Jews are bad, no no. They deserve life like the rest of us.

  • omg i feel so sad for the jews but heres my question i heard hitler killed his parents cause they were jews but why does he hate jews so muchu dont know luckily jews are still survived today but i know so many people even my friend who got shot in the holocaust ugh i hate hitler he thinks hes in contol of everything anyway is girlfriends poisened him so yay jews are alive may the memory of children parents and grand parentswho died during the holocaust they will never be forgotten.

  • @Juelzsanpana There's nothing wrong with that. It only proves that he has a strong faith and that's something to be proud of.
