Oxford Folk Festival - Saturday 21st March 2009

"Morris Mania.

The Castle and Oxford city centre will again be inundated over the weekend by around 40 dance sides, organised by Mason's Apron - a traditional Northwest Morris side from Long Hanborough in West Oxfordshire, who dance with sticks and garlands. Mason's Apron and 5 other sides will be dancing on both Saturday and Sunday: Buttercross Belles, Pecsaetan, Sarum, Bare Bones and Boggarts Breakfast.


Saturday dancers: Alton, Armaleggan, Berkshire Bedlam, Cornucopia, Cry Havoc, Ducklington, Fleet, Footnotes, Hereburgh, Hips & Haws, Hurst Morris People, Kirtlington, Marlings Morris, Plum Jerkum, Pump House Clog, Queen's Oak, Rockhopper, Southern Lights, Taeppas Tump, Owlswick and the Vale Islanders."
