@mai1992 Parasitoids are parasites that kill their hosts. It's pretty common in nature, especially among insects. As long as their eggs get passed on and find a new host, it doesn't matter if the first host is killed. Not sure if kidney worms are parasitoids... it's possible they just lower the health of the host but keep it alive so every time it pees/poops, more of its eggs get spread around

i saw the beginning of the worm and i was like ok its not that big then i was all like HOLY LIVING JESUS MONKEY ON A STICK THAT IS SCARY
