Simmons tells it like it is. One should never lose sight of the fact that entertainment IS a business, and any advantage (ie: Having Simmons take the point when you want to open for a big act) one can marshal helps in the long run. For an up coming band, under the Simmons label) to be able to avail themselves of Simmons experience - for free (or relatively so) - is a significant tool for success.

how desperate must a musician be to sign a gimmeallyougot-contract with gene simmons? yes, he is business-savvy but it has been proven many times over that this is mutually exclusive with intelligence.selling plastic toys to kids isn't what really helps to make this world a better place. however, one has to love him for all his self -mockery (the good looking drill sergeant, muahahahahaha).the music world could live well without gene and kiss, the comedy world surely couldn't. good job, jian.
