Lovebug: A Jonas Story

Chapter 4

--At the Beach

(Getting off the bus to the beach)

(As they walk out of the bus, a cold breeze hits them)

Kevin: Oh wow. That's cold.

Rhiley: Ahh look at the moon reflecting off the ocean.

(The 4 of them just stand there in a line.)

Joe: Wow.

Nick: It's frikin cold out here.

Rhiley: Yeah and it's about to get alot colder for you. (laughing and stealing his jacket)

Nick:(laughing)Hey!! Give that back!

Rhiley:(still running and laughing) Yeah right!

(Rhiley keeps running on the waters edge, looking back at Nick, both of them laughing and screaming)

Rhiley: You aren't fast, are you?

Nick: You haven't seen Super Nick yet.

Rhiley:(cracking up and still running, in zig zags) Super Nick!?!

Nick: Yep.(in a deep voice) I am SUPER NICK! (runs faster, grabs her waist from behind and he slips on the sand and they both fall, laughing)

Rhiley: Super NIck alright! (sarcastically and laughing)

(They both just lay there and laugh) ( Nick still holding her and laughing trying to get his jacket.)

(Joe and Kevin walk up) (Nick looks up and grabs Joe's hat and runs) (Kevin, playing along, grabs Joe's jacket while Rhiley grabs his scarf, deciding to all gang up on him)

(They all run, with Joe running after them)

Joe: Hey! What is this?

Kevin:Try to catch me sucker! (laughing)

Rhiley: Oh Joe! What are you gonna without your hat? (teasingly)

Nick: And your scarf? (laughing)

(They all run around in circles, laughing and after 20 min or so they all collapse on the sand and watch the waves.)

Rhiley: Still a little cold there, Nick?

Nick:(laughing, with his jacket back on) Naa.

Kevin: The waves are beautiful, aren't they?

Joe: Yeah

Nick: You cold? (looking at Rhiley)

Rhiley: Umm. I'm okay. Since you are so attached to that jacket of yours (jokingly, laughing)

Nick:(laughing) Ha ha very funny.

(Nick takes his jacket off, starting to give it to Rhiley)

Kevin:(whispers to Joe) let's take a walk

Joe:(whispers back) what? why.. oh okay.

Joe: I'm gonna go to the bathroom.

Kevin: yeah me too.

(they leave)

(Nick gives his jacket to Rhiley and wraps it around her)

Rhiley: Ahh your giving me you precious jacket! (jokingly shocked)

Nick:(laughing) Shocking, I know!

Rhiley:(laughs, and then stops) thanks.

Nick(still wrapping it around her. then just keeps his arm around her and they sit) Yeah.

Rhiley:(smiles at him)

Nick: Why did you come over to me today?

Rhiley: Well at the start, I didn't know it was you. I just saw someone sitting, looking upset. and I just wanted to see if I could help. Then I saw it was you and I just was worried because I had never seen you like that. you are usually so calm and positive.

Nick: Yeah, but you didn't have to say. I said I was fine.

Rhiley: Yeah. but even though I had just met you, I knew you weren't fine. and I just wanted to be there. Many times, when I've been upset, someone has come over and just talked to me or just sat there. and just knowing they are there makes all the difference. I wanted to be that person for someone else.

Nick: What caught me off guard was that you were just so normal with me. It wasn't like oh my god Nick Jonas! it was just a friend to a friend. and I never get that.

Rhiley: I can only imagine what it must be like for you. At that moment, it wasn't about the fact that you were in a famous band, or that you were Nick Jonas to the public, to me you were just a guy that needed someone to talk to and just sit with. I just wanted to be a friend.

Nick: I'm glad you came over, Rhiley. (smiling at her)

Rhiley:(smiling back) Me too.

(They sit there for awhile, her head resting on his shoulder, his arm around her, keeping her warm, watching the waves splash up and ripple the reflecting moon)

Rhiley: I guess we better get back.

Nick: Yeah probably. What the heck is taking Joe and Kev so long? (laughing)

Rhiley:(laughing) We better check on them.

(They get up, Nick holding his jacket on her, and walk back up the beach to find Joe and Kevin, by the tour bus talking.)

Joe: Well look who it is.

Nick: We got scared that you might still be in the bathroom (laughing)

Kevin: Come on guys, we better get going.

Rhiley: Yeah it's gotta be late. I should call my Mom.

Nick: We can drop you off at your house.

Rhiley: No no I don't want you to have to.

Kevin: No it's totally fine. Joe will be sleeping anyway.(laughing)

Joe: Hey!

Rhiley:(laughing) okay if your sure. I'll give my address to your guys' driver.

Nick: yeah let's go.

(They get in and sit down and watch a movie) (Rhiley falls alseep between Nick,who falls asleep shortly after, and Joe with her head resting on Nick's shoulder and his head on top of hers., while Joe snores loudly)
