  • FYI... The Miramichi River is actually the most productive river in Canada. The Miramichi is catch and release onIy and use to be a "grilse river" with few salmon above 20 lbs. Now 20 pounders are commonplace. The average size of caught salmon in the Glen Emma section on the Matapedia has decreased from 24.7 lbs in 1987 to 14.3 lbs in 2009. Lee Wolf would eat farmed salmon today. Just Saying....

  • @alleyshrimp LOL...That's why the Matapedia is the most productive river in all of Canada for Atlantic salmon is because they kill their fish. Sounds like the Atlantic Salmon Federation has you totally confused. Remember, Lee Wulff liked to eat wild fish too.

  • Catch and release is cool. Try it. You do not want the Alta to end up like the Matapedia

  • Nice fish man, well done, sweet and tight line.
