I about to build a shipping container home, any advice on how to keep it cool?

@cdltpx Even better, take that sheet of metal they cut in the video and raise it a a foot or two above the roof. Will both reduce the solar heat-gain and add air cooling above the ceiling. Even better if it overhangs the structure so you get more shading.

@cdltpx Look in my FAVORITES I have saved many videos that promote off grid or energy efficient living especially with reguards to transportation since that is where the majority of the energy is consumed. For ~$2K you can build your own recumbent bike that will roll you around for less than $150 a year total cost. No insurance to pay unless you want to hardly any regulations you can add a trailer to it and tote panels if you want total RE or to carry lots of stuff.

@MakeMeThinkAgain The Carter administration dedicated federal money to studies to find the best passive heating and cooling and the answers are simple and easy to do if we just encorporated them our homes would use a very small fraction of energy. It is misleading we use the same amount of energy it is commonsense not waiting a few million years for maturity. Methane is nothing new Biogas has been in use for centuries so has solar cooking. Produce collect methane W/trash bags hose water&leaves
