318's are a very tough and strong engine. I use to have a 70 Duster that had a Canadian Block 318. Wish I had it back as it was my first car I built in 1976. Never under estimate an old 318 from the early 1970's because they will surprise you.

my mom went to work one day in 1972, and parked her 1968 opel in the bank parking lot. when she got off, my dad had come and got it, took it and traded in his car (a dodge) and my mom's car, which she had bought before they were married, on a lime green plymouth duster. she was pissed. about a year later, there was an ice storm and a bill board fell on the car and totaled it, she was very happy.

@Camaromandave98 Must have been built to hell and back to run 11's. Fastest 318 car I ever saw with high 11s, like 11.95's, and it was built ground up.
