The author is a computer programmer, educational software developer, writer, videographer, animator, cancer survivor.... and sometimes... hopefully... a comedian. He was born in 1956, around the height of atmospheric bomb testing, which of course, everyone (except a few scientists who has studied the matter thoroughly) thought was "harmless" but we now know better. Those scientists were right!.

This comedy routine was recorded in 1979 shortly after Three Mile Island, while Ace was attending the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. As noted in the video, it aired on Pacifica radio stations and on the Dr. Demento Show that summer.

After Chernobyl, Hoffman released a comedy routine about that, too, called No Cause For Alarm, which has already been posted on YouTube with a Fukushima-related video to accompany it. No Cause For Alarm also aired on Dr. Demento, who continues to play this comedy routine every so often, where it is called "Three Mile Island Beatles".

The video was created from images on the news over the past four weeks, plus a few drawings collected over the years and colorized by myself. Plus the cover of my book (drawn by Zoe Friend), which I recommend, of course, that everybody read as soon as possible (it's a free download). The photo of Obama is from while he was debating energy as a candidate, saying he is for nuclear power. As of this writing (April 7, 2011) he still is. He still thinks it can be made safe. He's still wrong.

As this author learned by studying it, and as the world has learned by experience now, nuclear power cannot be made safe. Additional accidents just like Fukushima Daiichi are inevitable unless the world shuts the nuclear power plants down. It's as simple as that. The nuclear industry and its supporters talk about taking away "lessons learned" from Fukushima. They said the same thing about Chernobyl and Three Mile Island. We do NOT need to go through this again! These lessons are way too harsh. And besides, they never learn!

News (April 20th, 2011): NRG withdraws support for South Texas Project proposed reactors 3 & 4 which were to be built by TEPCO (a related article appears around the 0:50 mark in this video)! Now to get reactors 1 and 2 shut down, too!

  • BRILLIANT, BRILLIANT!

  • Nice video, but horrific. I just warched A Hard Days Night movie tonight. I love the Beatles & Yoko. I Know Yoko Ono is really against nuclear anything, ome day we will all rise up & stop the people hell bent on destroying the world! Someday I hope it's soon!
