I actually liked Quesada and Romita Jr. They were running the show when I got into Spidey in 2001.

However... with BND I stopped reading... though to be honest, I never did keep up with the monthly issues, I prefer the compilations.

Don't get me wrong, MARVEL is a great company with the most awesome super-heroes ever, and great products, BUT I won't read One More Day and Brand New Day ever. To me, those issues shouldn't exist and aren't canon period. I REALLY HOPE that BND ends in my lifetime and that the true good Mary Jane and Peter Parker are brought back to life in place of the writer-changed lowly Pete and MJ.

I forgive Joe Quesada and want to move on and forget what he's done, BUT that doesn't mean that I'm going to magically start trusting him 100% when he's proven that I really can't trust him as a person. I can't trust Marc Guggenheim either after him saying that he pitched to the writers of One More Day to have MJ raped, then murdered from an interview I heard in 2007 or 2008. I don't trust the other members of the BND team because they crazily stand with Joe Quesada on his negative decisions.

KillerDiAbe, yes there are those two types of fans, but reading BND is "pretty much agreeing with MJ & Pete doing something that is obscene and irrational, MJ committing adultery with some guy, MJ knowing about the whole deal with the evil, untrustworthy Satan and letting the deception continue with no conscience, Pete/MJ allowing themselves to be screwed along with people's memory of the unmasking being changed, Mephisto showing god-like powers when he isn't supposed to have it, & Joe Quesada."

There are two types of " spidey fans", those who thought it was great to see the character grow as the reader grew (like me !) or those who thought peter parker is acomic book character which doesnt need to grow and by marying MJ the writers felt they weren t able to do the "traditional" spiderman. I dont thnk Spidery suck, OMD was really.. ive got no words really, but honestlyt someone would have eventually come along and do the same thing even worse. Some BND stories are quite good really

Mark Waid, you may be a great writer, but Peter Parker from ASM:BND is not the coolest super-hero in comics anymore due to the fact that Joe Quesada made Mary Jane and Pete make an evil, irresponsible deal with Satan which is not true good people do no matter how imperfect they are; so BND doesn't make up for that, because this Spidey sucks just like the lonely, pathetic Bruce Wayne.

Yeah I loved this. The art is cool!

This was a great issue. Best in years, in my opinion. It had everything I imagine a good Spidey story should have that most recent ones have been lacking.
