Iowa City native and Iraq War veteran Andrew Duffy suffers from PTSD, but that didn't stop him from founding the Iowa City chapter of Iraq Veterans Against the War.

He is still serving in the Iowa Army National Guard and said he has taken some abuse for opposing the War in Iraq and has filed congressional complaints for harassment he has received.

Duffy served as a medic at the infamous Abu Ghraib prison from 2005-06. He listed many factors that have led to his opposition to the war including: improper equipment, insufficient training, bad intelligence, poor cultural training and overt anti-Iraqi racism.

  • Andrew: I am so proud of you for the stand that you are taking. You are so wise for a man so young. Unfortunately, you will find in life that doing and saying the right thing will bring you grief from others. Just remember that Jesus was persecuted and abused for what he said and did too. I hope you get to read this, Keep up the good fight. Kathy

  • you are a puss what sis you think was going to happen. You joined 2 days afer the Iraq war started, did you thing it was going to be sunshine and lollipops war is an unbrideled beast the needs to be set free. The proplem with the Iraq war is that we are fighting it half-assed. You can not fight a politically correct war. free medical care what a dumbass

  • You need to go back to the 109th Med and tell everybody in the BN that you are sorry for being such a loser... My Husband has been to Iraq 4 times and Afghan 3 times.. grow some balls and see the big picture of what is really going on. I hope that you are no longer in the Guard.

  • hahahaha of course he was a fuckin Pogue! He says Hajji is a term of endearment to Iraqi's....so whats the problem? Hey I dont hate the Hajji's, dont mean I wont shoot em in Afghanistan, but I have respect for them as I do every other human being. But it will be a COLD day in hell when a medic dictates whether I say HAJJI or not. (btw it's my favorite word, HOOOAH! bitch!)
