Vatican has so much cultural history behind closed doors, it would be awesome if it turned into an open museum. Maybe get every book and paper they have scanned into a digital library. And if that doesn't arouse you, there's probably quite a bit of vintage porn too. :-P

if you've read any of sam harris, you'll remember he points out that the problem with these atheist dictatorships is not that they are against religion but that they are too much LIKE religion.
adoration and emulation of one individual, accepting his orders and wishes, and the discouraging of dissenting views.
these totalitarian states may have dispelled organized religion, but they maintain and propagate all of its worst qualities.
