Here is a demo of how to use your hand motions to control your TV & HTPC from your couch.
There are two primary ways to control your Media Center: you can use a mouse and a keyboard, or you can via the Media Center remote control.
However, you can also control your media center with the help of your own gestural movements via webcam.
The efficient webcam capture distance ranges from 1 to 12 feet. It also depends on the lighting conditions in your room.

System requirements:
Hardware - PC & webcam with autofocus.
Software - MS Windows 7 (Vista or XP Media Center with VS 2008 Redistributable Package).

  • can i control other things, like my computer?

i would want it to use macros

  • can you play games with this?

  • SSSSSSSHHHHHHIIIIIITTTTTT

  • used this app, its hard to use and very off point

  • Hey bro, that's a nice try, but I enhanced the right side of the picture and I can see a shadow of someone holding an Xbox 360 Controller. And if you did, Microsoft Corporation can use federal reasonings with you and get you to shut that program down. Other wise, nice.

  • would this not get very annoying if your trying to find a file really fast?

  • @cam2rem you can give media center edition 2005 dowload link?
