This video is for Luvbeags. Thanks Luvbeags for all your help! I started my mbuna tank in March of 08 after I saw one of Luvbeags videos. Luvbeags your tank inspires me to make an mbuna tank of my own. Thank you for walking me down the right path! After, watching Luvbeags new video of her 90gallon mbuna tank it makes me wants to put in my Ps.Demasoni! And so I did!

Stocking List:
7 F2 yellow labs
3 yellowfin acei
6 F1 mixed WC white top hara
18 demasoni

Filter- Marineland C-360, 828 Jebo Canister, 30 TOPFIN HOB, AquaClear 30 HOB
Heater- Lifetech 300w
Background- Black
Substrate- Silica sand
Temperature- 78-82degree

I feed my mbuna twice a day with NLS and feed them Veggi Flakes only on Wednesday. I do water changes on every Saturday. I have also painted my stand black to make my tank stand out more.

  • Beautiful tank. Getting ready to set up a 135 gallon mbuna tank and i'm trying to get ideas. What kind of rock did you use?

  • Mbuna, amazing fish! i am using Lace Rock. With mbuna you would want your tank fill up half way with rocks! make sure you pick species that wont make hybrids. good luck and have fun!

  • @khaki91

First I wanna say a good song and a nice aquarium !

But what you said about fill your tank up half way up..

I don't agree if you put the rocks to the upside of the aquarium the fish will feel better and swim everywhere and they can hide more places .

Look at mine aquarium then you will see it:)

  • Timmemz, Thanks! my fish got used to their surroundings and I didnt need rocks fill all the way to the top for them to swim everywhere. Once they feel that your aquarium is safe and comfortable they will swim up to the top waiting for food every time someone comes near the tank.
