dude just unplug the av cord and power off the system for 1min...unplug the power also.then connect only hdmi and power on keep the settings then make sure your tv is set correctly for hdmi.. you only use both outputs when you have hd for video and av for audio if you want both plugged in then wait until your hd is set then plug in av cords...i hope this helps. i seen this on the ps3 forums
