@MsSabrinaMae, yes, that's Russ Tamblyn (Riff from West Side Story) playing the youngest Pontipee brother, Gideon. I certainly hope you've seen his dancing in the barn raising and "Going Courtin'" scenes.

@MsSabrinaMae yes! Russ Tamblyn played Gideon in this and Riff in WSS. And Daniel was played by Marc Platt, who was a dancer in Oklahoma! (1955) and was the Dream Curly in the Broadway version :)

Actully,if you look into it the orginal latin word that was used for what happened to the Sabine is closest to "abduction",NOT rape.The Romans intermarried after kidnaping.
