First and foremost, Sonar is a Rock and Roll band that likes to take risks. They could play their songs the same every night, but they don't. They could write songs that all sound the same and fit neatly under one umbrella of categorization, but they don't. They are inspired by sounds of the past and the creative spirit of music. In their 11 year career, the band's members have recorded close to 10 albums and performed music for thousands of people all over the United States.
Mostly 60's rock and roll. Think The Rolling Stones, or The Who. Or Neil Young, Clapton, The Band. Interspersed with randoms from later decades: Petty, Little Feat in the 70s; those ultrapopular jamboys in the 80s. The list goes on for days, really.
