Part five of an episode from the 1985-88 syndicated run. This is from the week of 9/16/85-9/20/85 and features special guests Markie Post (from The Fall Guy and more famously, Night Court) and Charlie Siebert (from Trapper John M.D.). Thanks for tuning in, guys. Hope you enjoy the 1985 fee plugs! Deuces!

  • Whatever happened to Shasta?

  • And Christine and Riverside will meet again 3 years later on the premiere week of "Blackout", which replaced "The $25,000 Pyramid", but will soon be replaced by the same show.

  • that's Jack Clark.

  • I love the original product promos at the end of this episode. I love the film look of commercials of that time period. Commercials look so cheap to me these days.

  • This was a good episode here. It might have ignited one of several battles between Charles and Marki on the pyramid. It was good rivalry that wasn't acknowledged at all. Mel and her oppoenent were tough competitors but Mel pulled it off. Charles may have to do some practicing but Marki rules the day for now. This is a 4 star episode since it had good gameplay but a little less suspense than usual.

  • The 7-up ad was "Feels so good coming down", where the people in the ad were walking in the rain. I also loved hearing the audience clap with the theme - reminded me of the ending of Richard Dawson's original version of "Family Feud."

  • I remember when GSN used to air the original commercials that aired after the announcer said "some of our contestants will receive..." I liked seeing these commercials because some of them first aired before I was born. I vaguely recall a 7-up commercial and a bubble gum commercial from a 1986 episode (that was the year I was born).

  • But now the game show is owned by CPT Holdings, Inc./Sony Pictures Television.
