I think it was a bit of a different order of magnitude between the tortures under Sadam and the "humiliating" treatment in Abu Graib. And also, look how the world reacted to Abu Graib - with justified horror. But how did Sadam's government deal with tortures - it used them all the time, without shame, and with relish. I don't recall anyone under American prison control having a power drill drill through their hand, or being suspended from ceiling so their arms broke in process.

if bush just said "look at these videos of saddams torture, we are going in to get rid of him and end this suffering " then i would have had more respect for him, but yeah he did a good thing by gettin rid of an evil dictator
