Ah yes,Monday nights at Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham,Alabama bell times from 7:30-8:30. Sterling Brewer and timekeeper Taft Epstein at ringside! On Friday or Saturday nights they would tape live at WBMG-42 studios to set up the showdowns on Monday night! One of the VERY FEW times dad and I interacted on. Even had the winning lucky # in the program one night, got a full line steak dinner FREE,only paid for our drinks....$1.85...not bad Nick Gulas was a great promoter! Thanks for posting!
@eraffel in terms of storyline, yes. Don Fargo (aka Don Kalt) wrestled under many gimmicks over the years, but his most famous was as Jackie's "brother"
There was a wrestler in Cleveland in the 70's called Donny Fargo. He teamed with a young Greg Valentine as the Fargo Brothers. I think Donny was related to Jackie, not sure though.
Most of the old videotape was erased and reused.. hopefully whoever had this film, has more and posts it.. the match highlights were filmed and used on the show.. so maybe there is more to be found!!
Nuthouse was what Jackie called roughhouse... So Nuthouse and roughhouse are the same person. As a little boy, I watched wrestling with my Grandpa. I don't care what Vince McMahon says, wrestling owes a HUGE debt to the Greats of years gon by, and topping that list would be the Fargo brothers. Jackie is my favorite of all time.
