@lordofthebasses123 Quite frankly, there isn't much ways to survive a nuclear bomb. Ducking and cover will protect you from some things such as debris. Although, you probably will still die, it increases your chance of survival by a small amount (which is better then nothing if you ask me :P)

@tg72211 Not really, Gamma rays travel in straight lines. Standing up would expose you to more gamma rays. Ducking and Covering exposes you to a lot less lowering the chance of radiation sickness.

@Fredfredbug4 You would die of radiation later though. I would rather go quickly than slowly.

The advice they give is actually useful believe it or not.
An atomic bob can wipe out an entire city in less than 10 seconds. You will not have time to find shelter in the event of a sudden attack. Doing this at least gives you a chance, running like ants only makes it easier to die. You can't outrun a nuke
btw at 1:44 - 1:50 the 3rd guy that slide down the pole kinda looked like hitler

ok, first of all, the flash, even if you are in a building, will most likely give you a 3rd degree burn itself, then the shockwave hits you, shattering almost every bone in your body, if you are near the bomb, you will literally go from solid to vapor in a matter of 2 seconds. if you are lucky enough to be in a shelter, or in some kind of safe place, the radiation will contaminate the water and soil, killing all plants, livestock will die from lack of food and water, and eventually people die.
