I saw Hassan Hakmoun at Symphony Space in NYC in '92 or '93 in a show called "World Percussion IV" which I think was the 4th of a yearly concert series sponsored by the World Music Institute. The show ranks as one of the Top 5 concerts I've ever witnessed. Absolutely incredible! He was accompanied by his brother (cousin?) on hand cymbals. Together they performed a dance routine I'll never forget. Also appearing was Don Cherry and a great 11-member tambourine troupe. I wish I could see it again!
