I don't know... Fushia might be an idiot, but she comes off in the series as less dumb than the rest. Just young and ignorant. After all, she's the only one who recognized the importance of the loss of her father and Flay.
Gods, Steerpike DESERVES to be in charge, just on account of pure intelligence.
Also, when the twins sat down in the water, I was thinking: "No! Those beautiful costumes!"
This really is a gorgous, thought-provoking production of some truely excellent books.

I have read the books and Fuschia isn't stupid, she just hasn't been educated. She's intuitive in the books, but like her mother she became distant.

have you read them yet. Brilliant books. I have only read titus groan properly. I should really read gormenghast again. they aren't exacty an easy read, imo. but they are good.
