  • Funny how I heard nothing about this on New Zealands "free media"

  • Thank you Catherine. Brilliantly researched questions! You have pointed out how completely dumb is the cutting of Enviroschools funding. Our Enviroschool has cut the waste stream from the school by 60%. Imagine if the whole country did that.

  • I cannot believe that this has been cut! I'm a lot hoha that they cut such good programmes like enviroschools, yes literacy and numeracy is all good, some delivery of literacy and numeracy not so good...oh well... will keep watching

  • Obviously didn't see that coming, and interesting how he immediately goes on the offensive. Talking about funding for those that have slipped through the gaps of the system re literacy. I heard from teachers about the ability of this programme to appeal to children who are not inspired by the traditional system. Without inspiration, without interest it is much harder to teach and learn. It just doesn't make sense.

  • Just seems bankers like money more than food for people. We cannot eat money for ever...and basic human skills are one of the most important things to have. Lets hope we do not have a war soon, because food/resources will disappear fast if that happens. Then people will be knocking on someones door very fast. ;-)
