A. ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION: SAME SOUND BUT DIFFERENT SPELLING

1, Greenfields performed by The Brothers Four.
Instructions: Repeat the sounds viewed at the bottom of the video lesson screen.

2, Once there were greenfields kissed by the sun. Once there were valleys where rivers used to run.

3. Once there were blue skies with white clouds high above. Once they were part of an everlasting love.

4. We were the lovers who strolled through greenfields.
strolled - bowled, strolled - bowled
5. Greenfields are gone now, parched by the sun, gone from the valleys where rivers used to run.
where - tear- mare, where - tear - mare
6. Gone with the cold wind that swept in through to my heart, gone with the lovers who let their dreams depart.
through - blue - too, through - blue - too
7. Where are the greenfields that we used to roam?
roam - dome - comb, roam - dome - comb
8. I'll never know what made you run away. How can I keep searching when dark clouds hide the day?
