This lesson focuses on an exercise to develop strength and coordination between every possible pair of fingers in your fret hand. Some on the stretches may be a bit to much in the beginning so just work your way up to them.

A FREE PDF TAB download for this lessons material is available from the main site at http://www.GuitarLessons365.com. There you will also find many other FREE video guitar lessons for players of all levels.

Your donations at the main site are what enables me to continue these FREE daily lessons for everyone. Thanks!! Carl..

  • This truly is a great lesson, so far it has helped me a lot, but I have one question about what you say at 3:35. Although my fingers don't go underneath the fretboard, in some cases it is really hard to keep them raised right where their frets are. It happens mostly when I do the combination of 2nd and 3rd fingers - the 1st and the 4rth fingers just seem to go as far as they can from the 2nd and 3rd. Do you have any tips? Or is it not a big deal? Hope my explanation isn't too confusing.

  • @YearsBecomeDays A lot of people have that problem naturally but if you take notice of it and try to retrain your fingers while practicing exercises like this it will straighten itself out pretty quickly usually. :)

  • Wow, I'm amazed it's the first time I see these lessons, wish I did earlier. Really great videos!

  • @YearsBecomeDays Hey thanks a lot!! Many more are coming. :)

  • Your lessons are the best lessons available on Youtube! You really motivate me and certainly others to get to the next level with their 6 strings. Thanks Carl, keep it up!

  • @ALnecUltra Thanks a lot! Comments like this motivate me as well. :)

  • @destine4change play until it hurts then wait 5-10 min. then go again and be careful dont over do it

  • so im trying this exercise for the first time....will post back after a week or two of practice n say how well it helped or not.

  • Is it completely sad if I can't even make it all the way up the neck before my middle and ring finger feel like they are about to fall off? My pinky and ring together is even worse! Also.. am I supposed to just keep going when my fingers are dying of pain? Or wait a few seconds then start again?

  • @GuitarLessons365 i certainly hope so cuz i have that problem too :\
