May I ask you how old she was when she got her dark eyerims/pigmentation? I've a 9 weeks old purebreed TT puppy with one eye still looking pink. That eye is surounded with white hair. The other one has a darker patch of hair around and that eye is already fully pigmented.
BTW, Kaya is beautifull!

I love Kaya!!! Hopefully I will be getting a TT soon and I hope it's as gorgeous as her because she's absolutely beautiful!!! Xo -3-3-3

What a lovely dog ! Mooooh ! :o)
She is absolutely GORGEOUS! And I have had 4 TT's in my llifetime and she looks pure breed to me, besides its not all about breeding... its about the character and trouble making of TT's that makes them so loveable!
You should be VERY proud of her she is stunning :)
Our Dotty makes the exact same squeaky noises, she was born a few months after Kaya.

@cursed2 Thank you! We are very proud of her and love her to death. Just to clear things up, she is a pure breed and was adopted from Shey's Tibetan Terriers in the Minneapolis area. They are very careful as to who the puppies go to and have had many champions in their line. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a TT. Thanks again for your wonderful post.

@BGersh12 - this puppy is not true to breed standards - it doesn't have an all black nose or black eye rims. Also, a responsible breeder won't give away puppies at 9wks of age, the Tibetan Terrier Club of America require that breeders keep puppies until they are 10wks old. The TTCA has a list of reputable breeders on their site with current litters to choose from (or you can try the AKC). I'm getting a healthy, purebred puppy from a TTCA breeder next month :).

@catherinep11 Actually Catherinep11 - my mistake she was 11 weeks old, I had incorrectly stated 9 weeks on the post. She was born on 6/27. As for the nose and eye lids, it takes time for the pigmentation to go away on puppies. She is now 11 months old and has a full black nose and eye lids. We purchased her from a TTCA approved breeder, and they are one of the better breeders in the country. We did extensive research on the breeder and the TTCA prior to getting her.
