@Hyperdog456 No actually, German offensive infantry tactics revolved around the MG-34 and MG-42. They built both of them for attacking, in fact both the 34 and 42 had a drum magazine. Which helps with movement and it's easier for one soldier to use. The reason for such a high rate of fire with the MG-42 was that your only going to see the enemy for a split second before they take cover, so you have to put as much fire on them as possible. :)

I have fired every machinegun in every war, I taught John Basilone how to shoot, I was R. Lee Ermey's DI, and I taught Leonidas how to swing a sword without looking like a sissy. I can tell all of you, unquestionably the best MG ever, of all times was the French chauchat.
