From the Tabernacle to the Temple

Biblical accounts of ancient temple use among Jews and Christians.

*God commanded Moses to build the Tabernacle.

*God commanded Solomon to build a Temple to replace the Tabernacle. It was completed about 1005 B.C. The Babylonians destroyed it by fire in 600 B.C.

*Cyrus and Darius built the new Temple, known as the "Temple of Zerubbabel". It was finished in 515 B.C.

*By 16 B.C. the Temple was in desperate need of repair. It was reconstructed during the reign of Herod I. This was the temple that Jesus and His apostles attended and taught in. The Romans destroyed it in 70 A.D. by fire. The temple site at Jerusalem is currently owned by Islam. The Muslim shrine that now sits in the center of the Temple Mount is known as "The Dome of the Rock". It was completed in 691 A.D.

* The Bible speaks of a restoration of Temple use in the last days before Christ's return.

*In June of 1833, God commanded Joseph Smith to build a new Temple. Today, they are filling the world.

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? r ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."

See Mormons? God dwells in the body of every believer for our bodies are temples that house the spirit.

In the name of Jesus, stop perverting my Father's Word. Your LDS temples are an abomination in the site of YHWH.

1 am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.

@chicomibaby Indeed, we do read Galatians 1:6. We are very familiar with the Bible. The Book of Mormon is the same gospel found in the Bible.

I invite you to read the Book of Mormon. There is a passage in Moroni 10:3-5 that I recommend.

@FAITHandLOGIC How is it so laughable? You do not believe that an angel could do such a thing? Where is Christ's body? It is nowhere to be found on earth. Do you consider that laughable? There is much in the Bible that is considered laughable to those who do not believe. No one has the original scrolls that the apostles and prophets wrote on from the Bible but yet that does not affect you. If we did have the plates, that would not be enough for you. It would never be enough for you.
