The tramway in Athens,Greece (HD)

This is a small tribute to the new-built (2004) tramway network,including scenes from two of the three main lines.All the cars were manifactured by the Italian consortium Ansaldo-Breda and are designed by the famous designer Pininfarina.First we see trams near the terminal station of Sintagma,in the historic center of Athens,near Acropolis.Next,the scenery changes totally as we see trams at Flisvos,near Piraeus port and the seaside offers an attractive view to the passengers.In the end,a tram is departing from Neos Kosmos stop,where passengers can change trains to board the metro lines.Line 4 starts from Sintagma and ends at the S.E.F. stadium at Faliro and is called "Aristotelis".Line 5 starts at Sintagma and terminates at Voula area and is called "Plato".

@camothegr8 Thank you!!!I tried to combine different sites from which the trams pass.Yes,it was an electro bus,a "trolley" as we call them here.

I went to Greece for 8 glorious days, and I almost got run over by one of these trams while crossing the street. I was so scared, but I enjoyed my time there very much. Can't wait to go back one day.
