  • Perhaps also it's a way of trying to get the most usage out of the land by planting fruit trees along the edges since he mentioned they were often persimmon trees and the fruit is edible. Plus, persimmon trees full of fruit and having dropped their leaves for winter are quite lovely in their own way so aesthetics could be included as well.

  • its so nice to see a softypapa video this not again i miss the sounds and seeing the cool things you find

  • Oh, so you are uploading videos from the summer. I was wondering why it was so warm there. Will you be filming in the winter?

  • I love love nature!!

  • Beautiful video Kurt. I love the videos you put up where nature has overtaken man's creations.

  • @TheGzeus Yes i bet it is, indeed. I felt it from this video. I love that kind of life. I always wonder if I will ever experience it.

  • I LOVE the sound of rain! I especially love it in the summer time - it's a great sound to nap to.

  • Lol, that's actually a good idea.

  • Another possible reason would be that they cleared the land of trees to create the rice or tea fields, and the surrounding trees are what is left. I don't know about tea, but some things need semi shade too, if they are grown in full sun it will kill them. I don't know what the native flora in Japan is, but would bet the trees came before the tea plants and rice farms! ;D

  • @blulaguna18 Then you take extended trips to Tokyo and local farm country, and realise the differences are fairly superficial.

    It's actually quite comforting.
