If people would stop buying diamonds, many African countries would practically starve to death. Realize that sometimes diamonds maybe the only resource they have, and for perhaps millions, the only work they can have (I'm talking about miners, but there are thousands of Africans working in offices within the trade, and those people would of course also lose their jobs as well). Anyway what you say is very ignorant. Maybe people shouldn't buy chocolate too...
