  • The greatest love song of all time. Written and sang by a master. BUT Whitney did NOT ruin this song! She paid him the greatest compliment of all time by singing this song with all the love in her GREAT voice. R.I.P. Whitney.... never worry about the haters. Ignore them... karma will take care of the hate!

  • I wonder how many other songs that most erroneously think are songs first sung by females were actually first sung by males like this song. For example R-E-S-PE-C-T was written and originally sung by Otis Redding, and NOT Aretha Franklin?? A lot of times the most popular version is not the original one. Also are there more male to female songs like this and R-E-S-PE-C-T, or female to male songs?

  • This is my absolute favorite George Benson song... I must also say.. I realize this was over 20 years ago.. but he looked DAMNED good!!! Holy Shit!

  • love

  • This was released, I think, in the 70's. Everybody in my school, at talent shows, etc sang this song. It was very very popular. I played piano and consistently played this then. All BEFORE Whitney made it more famous. Yes, it was VERY famous when George did it too. Just a beautiful song!

  • Both of them did wonderfully on this song; they both sang it like they really meant it. I'm glad to know more about the history of this wonderful memory growing up. :)

  • please check my version of this song.. my tribute to george and whitney

  • Michael Masser wrote it for George. George expalined at a concert I was at how he met Michael Masser crawling around on his knees at a party and asked him who he was and he told him he was a songwriter and George asked what he had written and after hearing the impressive list asked Mr. Masser to write something for me, this was that song.

  • @LukeCageforhire Now I can see Whitney's shadow ... R.I.P.

  • Ooops... I thought he wrote it. I was wrong. But he sang it with a great style!!!!
