Gillooly's Interchange - possibly one of the busiest intersections in Gauteng. The new flyover was opened to the public in June 2010.

The bridge forms part of an east to north ramp, providing a connection from the N12 west bound to the N3 north bound. Before the ramp was constructed, the east to north traffic were sharing lanes with the north to west traffic, which created substantial friction and stress on the traffic flow.

The new ramp provides a dedicated facility for the east to north traffic movement, allowing a division of the two traffic movements, significantly improving the general traffic flow on the N12 through the Interchange.

The bridge deck was constructed in segments on one end of the bridge in a casting yard and incrementally pushed over the freeway as not to interfere with the traffic flow.

This method of construction is used in the construction of at least another five bridges on the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project .
